Thanks everyone. LOL at Dave. I do enjoy playing with recipes for the food I grow. The Madagascar beans become American baked beans, Tex/mex beans, falafals, no meat patties and feature in bean and ham soup. Cabbage went in today. Imagine - sauerkraut, kimchi, okinominyaki (Japanese cabbage pancakes), steamed, coleslaw. Livin the dream.

Barbara we make sweet potato soup all the time - just not to that recipe - will give it a go though - have made pasta with sweet potatoes too ! and sweet potato muffins are great..... also dried salt and vinegar sweet potato I refuse to make any more ...noone could stop eating them

Andy, that was great. Thanks for the inspiration. I wonder how sweet potatoes would go in the soup instead of ordinary potatoes. Must try it.

I wish I had that many trombonccino!! I just get enough to have maybe a small one per week. Bloody fruit fly in my place.

Impressive.

One day two zucchinis, who were best friends, were walking together down the street. They stepped off the curb and a speeding car came around the corner and ran one of them over. The uninjured zucchini called 911 and helped his injured friend as best he was able. The injured zucchini was taken to emergency at the hospital and rushed into surgery. After a long and agonizing wait, the doctor finally appeared. He told the uninjured zucchini, "I have good news, and I have bad news. The good news is that your friend is going to pull through." "The bad news is that he's going to be a vegetable for the rest of his life".

GrowVetiver

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
