Yes it's the weirdest thing to even contemplate making fake food out of lord knows what! Certainly not nutritious ingredients. I keep remembering the lethal Melamine incident where they added it to baby formula - that would have been cost saving, but this.....?
Someone mentioned to me that it's for the "poorer people" but I'm thinking they would have a chook or two surely.
Haven't seen the video, but I have heard about this few years ago. I can't work out how it's cheaper to manufacture fake eggs compare with raising caged eggs... (I only buy free range eggs, but for the sake comparison ...)
Remember the Melamine in the baby formula? What is with the Chinese and contaminating food with poisons.
That's unreal! Also very sad that the poverty is forcing them to do these things. I worked out it cost me about 60 cents per dozen eggs from my own chooks & from a retail perspective I produce about $100 worth of eggs a month (if I sold them).
Can you believe it! The Chinese are now making fake eggs.
