Thanks very much for the heads up Donna. I'll do my best to make it along. It's hard to say for sure because I'm in the very last stages of my semester at uni and the work load is pretty intense, but I'll do my best.

Hi Donna, are you still up for water chestnuts? Sorry I've been so busy with uni lately. I have a week off next week so I can drop them round for you if you like. I've put some in but they haven't come up yet.

Donna, I can't find the thread where we were planning a visit to a fruit tree nursery. I was going to add to it that on Friday and Saturday (at the AOGS event) we have a guy from "Little Bud Edible Nursery" bringing lots of seedlings to sell, plus lots of his fruit trees. I buy lots of seedlings from him and they're always good quality and price.

If anyone wants a particular variety of fruit tree, I can ask him to bring it if he has it available. Not much notice now I know, but he does have a big range and can bring special orders with him.

If you want to start a thread on this, I'll invite him to the site, so he can bring any special plants anyone wants.

Thanks Donna :) I did get a variety (pics in the blog) from one of the online crowds. Delivered quickly and healthy. Still waiting for any little green bits to show, sigh.

Donna, sorry to bother you, but I'm trying to get my Open Garden's flyers up on this website and Scarlett must be away from her computer. Do you know how I can edit my events to allow the flyers to be downloaded. The only other event I've found where this works is the Northey Street one for Youth Planting Day on Aug 14. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Donna,
I still have wormwood seeds, so I am going to try again with the proper seed trays and see how I go .. I think these works better, ^^ Thanks for the offer.. I might have to come back to you if I fail again.
I'd love some Azalea cuttings though ~ Thanks!!

Hi Donna, let me know when you'd like the water chestnuts, they're sitting in the fridge at the moment but I can store them until you want to plant. Any idea when the August garden visit will be? I've got exams soon so hopefully it'll be after them so I can come.

Our first pea came off the progress ones you gave me seeds for. They are much quicker to flower and seem to be more prolific although shorter than the telephones. Snow peas are flowering but no pods just yet.

Yeah Donna, sometimes it does despress me a lot - esp the dragon fruits, pineapples and all of last seasons pumpkins. Plus there's the personality conflicts, constant novices who turn up and need teaching and as soon as they're useful they disappear, the tools getting damaged and not cared for etc etc. Sometimes I wonder if it's all worth it. Now I have to put together a grant which someone had for 6 weeks and messed up completely. Now I have to do the whole thing in 2 days. Oh well, be back when I've finished that. Thanks for listening to me pour out my frustrations. :)

Thanks for the nice comment, Donna. No, not our first bunch, we've had bananas growing for nearly 10 years, but that was a particularly nice bunch, I think because I dug out the 2 suckers, all the energy went into the bananas.

Hey Donna, I know you already have seedling trays, but I am planning to drop by Chandlers market this Sunday as it's on the way to Chermside to pick up a few more seedling trays if I can leave my house early enough. Would you like any? The ones with drainage were $2.50 each, and the drip trays were $2.75 each if I remember correctly, and you can fit 8 x 8 cell punnets in each tray.
