Growing local

It is a while since I have put any pictures on of the garden as it is now. It has been a busy time here in Ellen Grove and the weather is getting very cold in the mornings but beautiful during the day with lovely sunny blue skies, the perfect weather for gardening.. Though we would like a little rain to help the new Perennials settle in.

There are now quite a few new Tropical Fruit trees been planted in the front and back gardens. We have our first pumpkin coming on and first Paw Paws, and a silly Fig tree with lots of Fruit on it. The first Tangelos are on the tree and we have had some beautiful Mandarins. The Lemons are beginning to colour and the Limes, well the Limes just continue to produce year round.

The Salvia Garden has now been cut back to the ground and awaits a very light manure. I will also plant some other Beneficial Insect plants in the bed as well. The Blueberry and Alpine Strawberry Patch are thriving and enjoying their bushland setting.

Please excuse my untidy Beans, but note the Madagascan Bean going up the ladder

We are in the process of re-potting the Azaleas, just love the white bucket at the front

Nice range of plants in your garden Dianne. That's a good use for old ladders especially when you have such a willing participant in the Madagascar bean. The bucket just shows that you have a working garden and your pictures definitely show that it is progressing well.
