Brisbane Local Food

Growing local

Wouldn't it be great if all our Brisbane Local Food Members had their own AVATAR and it can be put on via their "MY PAGE". This could be a photo of a Favourite Pet, Fruit, Flower, Herb, Vegetable, Person, Car etc. etc., Your Occupation, Business or something else of interest to you. The Avatar would be seen in place of the picture with the Green Peas Leaves, a way of saying this is ME.

I would like to put out a challenge to get as many of our members (who don't already have one) as possible to consider adding an Avatar by going to their "MY PAGE".

Hi Roger, Graham says put your passport shot on ("Surely it's a Shocker", Graham's words). Did you follow Andy's instructions on how to do it? It may have had too many pixels? At least you tried.

I have tried to put a very ugly photo of me on as an avatar. The program would not load it, due obviously to some guardian element that will not accept such poor taste.  I will need to find a better snap, but I'm not sure that one exits. Still I did try!!!!

If you upload your own picture, it will automatically appear on your home page.  Just click the photo on the left which is your current avatar.  You can also personalise your home page a great deal if you just have a look at the "customise" button on the left (a little further down).

I'm not sure what you folks mean by a "3D" avatar.  IF you mean animated then that is normally a ."gif" file. You need software that will allow you to produce an animated .gif to make one.  The site takes avatars up to 10 meg which would allow it to happen if someone was keen.

Yep.. I've been meaning to do this for a while. Will put mine up tonight. Thanks for the prompt.

The pea avatar is just a automatic if you don't choose your own avatar.

Anyone can now choose their own avatar by going to their My Page and uploading their chosen pic. As both you, Elaine and I have done Dianne amongst many others.

Important note about adding photos:

Always add photos using the "From my computer" option, even if you are on a mobile phone or other device.
