Growing local

Braised Chayote [Choko] with Ground Meat. A Filipino dish: Chayote Guisado / Sayote Guisado

I usually use any minced meat I have to hand. Tonight I used pork.
Tastiest of Choko options with a layering of flavours. Such an unnecessarily denigrated vegetable.
Here served with Pearl Millet. Yes, that's not Turmeric rice but Turmeric millet...reheated in the microwave.
Millet reheats without the rice risk factor:Bacillus cereus`.
Ironically curcumin (in Turmeric) preserves cooked millet.
The things you learn on the Internet!
And it has a great taste.
I had some Winged Beans so I threw them in too...
