Growing local

Never grown sweetcorn in the winter before so really pleased with the results just a bit slower than summer crops - note I am in Central Qld.

In a warm spot it will grow in the cool months. It grows a bit slower, though. Worth a try if you've a nice sheltered spot with plenty of sunlight, water and food. The cobs on mine are small yet but it's struggling on.

My mum was just asking me the other day when we can grow corn.. told her not until spring... nice big fat cobs there, can you grow them all year round?
