"Well I'll be stuffed," said the Seminole Pumpkin.
This pumpkin is, as the name suggest, a pumpkin traditionally grown by the Seminole Tribe of Florida.
Grows all year round in our sub tropics with a sweet taste on offer. In the same fam as Tromboncino, Butternut squash, & Calabaza.
Its vines do take off keenly, are long and run all over the place but I see where the traditional approach was to run them into the trees so that the fruit hung off the branches.
I'll know better next time I plant.
This harvest is to be stuffed and bake for tonight's dinner.
To imagine size: the spoon is a large tablespoon.
