Yeah Christa the cleaning cloth keeps the food off the bottom of the brooder that is too slippery. They figurw out the self feeders in a few days. Quail get splayed legs very easily if they slip. The rest just has woodshavings.  There is a satisfying feeling eating meals that are grown or raised at home, plus the reduction in food miles etc.

I think they are getting bigger the longer I look at them.  Is that chux cloths under their feed. Al that activity at your place.  You have become more self-reliant than many of us.
