Looking Outside
Looking outside I see...
Vetiver, Prickly Pear, Dragon Fruit fruiting...and a kangaroo.
Tis Helen's mosaics. A sculptured head from my hands and the Maya from somewhere Aztec.
I do, of course grow lots of Vetiver. As well I love spineless prickly pear for its versatility and culinary niche. Dragon fruit is delicious.
$5 each in the shops as we speak.

Companion planted with Azolla as a micro climate coolant. Keeps the mosies at bay while allow evaporant moisture and shading of leaves as the wind passes through the floating clumps.
A project I'm still working on and tweaking.
How's that green?

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion. It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)
GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
