thats realy healty looking beans ,good spot for the rocket , so many things need some shade now to keep going at this time of year .

I plant my beans when the corn are about 30 cm high, but they are growing very slowly... I think I should try 15 cm next time....

Depends who you ask about using leaves... I think it is fine (more questions seem to be regarding using eucalypt or pine specifically), we have heaps of trees and if the leaves fall on the garden they stay there - all the others get added to the compost ... same goes for the hibiscus flowers.

Thanks Scarlett, Yep Donna there is a bamboo piece laying along the top and I tied it together with plastic coated wire then tied it to the tree for extra support :-)

did you tie the bamboo at the top.. if so what with? I was using corn... but beans grow too fast and I have a tangled mess on the ground!
