End result. Would I make it again? Yes! But this time I'm going to let the sugar bananas become completely overripe.

I can imagine! Banana leaves give a wonderful flavour to sticky rice.

Yes overripe bananas will increase the natural sugar content meaning I don't have to substitute with extra gula melaka (palm sugar).

I steamed it for 25 mins. I followed the recipe in the link I sent you, 'cept that I halved everything - it was my first trial so I didn't make too much of something that could be inedible.

Yes banana leaves impart its own flavour.

The pandan was supposed to go at the bottom but I forgot so it ended up sitting on the pudding. Notice how the piece of pandan leaf is very yellowish. Good fragrant pandan should be deep green. Unfortunately pandan go pale yellow green during our winters.

It was easy to make, prep work couldn't have been more than 1/2 hr and I'm pretty disorganised in the kitchen.

Would over ripening increase the sugar content of the bananas Joseph? How long to steam? Can you show us what you use for steaming? Do the banana leaves add flavour? and last but not least...where's the Pandan - that bit on top of the pudding?

I've tried something like this made from Cassava, sugar and coconut milk wrapped and steamed and it was probably the most more-ish thing I've ever eaten.
