This is about a video that I found quite intriguing. It is about a lost garden, which was run down since the 2nd World War. It was once one of the most spectacular gardens in England, consisting of a jungle, a walled garden, a sundial garden, a valley which had a watering system which had to be repaired.  It apparently had plants from all over the world, collected by one of the family who lived in the Manor House. 

A team of gardeners took on the job of recreating the Victorian style garden, and growing veggies etc from that period as food for the Manor. There were quite a few old gardening hints etc. from those days.

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion.  It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
