Brisbane Local Food

Growing local

While looking around on that Utube site, I found this interesting contraption.  The yanks do everything in a big way. I wonder what this machine costs.

Our son has a vacuum sealer that he uses for meat etc.  This may be adapted to do a similar job.  But watch this SITE

One could do herbs, vegies etc and more.

That is definitely interesting. I'd never heard of a Harvest Right before. It's an expensive bit of kit (nearly $3000 USD) but I suppose if you're going to 'Retire at 40', it may be a practical way of saving every morsel of food. I'd love to be able to freeze dry but I guess I'll just have to stick to drying, fermenting and pickling.

I have a polyscience chamber vacumn sealer and just realised I can fit small jars upright amd larger one laying down, this machine is about a grand but is awsome and used weekly.

If get use of it weekly then its worth it. We always spend a bit extra on quality items.

This would properly seal and vacumn dry goods  etc and much more, for saving another day.
