Brisbane Local Food

Growing local

We have been hard at work settling in to our new address and making improvements in our infrastructure to try to make the work more manageable to continue producing chickens.

Our first batch of chickens is ready for processing so see below for the planned delivery details.  We are also picking up the next batch of day old chicks today so by the time you read this, they will probably be getting accustomed to their new home.

Delivery Dates

At this stage the confirmed delivery dates are:

Sunday, 23 August 2015

  • The Gap Farmers Markets from 6:30 to 11:00
  • Delivery run to locations along South East Freeway between 12:00 - 2:00
  • Other locations by request

Tuesday, 1 September 2015

  • Ipswich Good Food Group from 5:15 to 6:30

Saturday, 5 September 2015

  • Moggill Markets from 6:30 to 11:00
  • Deliveries by request
  • NOTE:  Depending on when I do my second processing day, I may only have frozen available as I didn't count on the weekend without a market in my planning.

Other Deliveries/Collect direct

  • Please contact us to make arrangements if the above options are not suitable
  • You can collect direct from our Deception Bay address on request.

If you want to ensure that you don't miss out, please send me an email with how many chickens, and a preferred size range.  As always, we can't guarantee what sizes will be available on the day.

New Products

We have been selling Certified Organic Layer feed for a while as it is easy to get some extra bags delivered with our starter feed.  I have noticed that there is some good demand for the Soy Free Coarse Layer Feed.  Consequently we usually have a couple of bags in stock - please ignore the out of stock on the website and send us an email as we can usually deliver promptly.

Next Batch

I have timed the next batch to be ready for processing for the weekends of 10 & 17 October.  However depending on sales from the next few weeks we will potentially do a delivery run in between these dates.

Thanks again for your valued support and we look forward to seeing you soon.
