Brisbane Local Food

Growing local

I have two packets of excess Kefir grains to give away - currently frozen (you defrost them slowly in the fridge) if anyone is interested.

It's possible to post them if you want to pay for the costs.

Don't forget to defrost these gently/slowly in the fridge, not on the bench.

Hi Elaine, I live on the North Side of Brisbane in Brighton and wondered if you have any spare kefir grains left in your freezer?

Yes I do Rosemary, 2 lots and you're welcome to both is you would like to call around, have a cuppa and a squizz at the garden. PM to me on this forum to discuss it further.

Hi Elaine, thank you so much. I was hoping to pick them up from you today. Unfortunately, I won't be able to this weekend or next due to kids sporting activities. As I work full time it would need to be on the weekend. Would you mind if I paid you postage that you could post these to me? I'm very keen to start the kefir due to health issues. Many thanks, Rosemary

Elaine will respond herself - but I might point out that these are frozen. Elaine will have to defrost them carefully in the fridge before they could be posted and live to tell the tale.
