Event Description

On the 21st May from 10am to 2pm the Green P Community Farm will host it's first open day. Come down and find out what's been happening and how you can get involved! Don't forget your sunscreen, enclosed shoes and sun smart clothes.

It's a place of beauty isn't it Dave. I didn't make it in the end but I did get a phone call from a nice lady called Heather wanting to go. Hope she got there.

Pretty good event yesterday. Many attendees...the garden looked great and the refugee gardens (mainly Karen folks) were especially good. Some exciting produce is being grown. Eggplants and heritage Norfolk Island pumpkins...and unknown beans and curbits.

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion.  It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
