Event Description

Saturday February 27th

Spurtopia presents: Living on budget – Wholesome, frugal and healthy life.
Roman Spur
Be inspired by guest speaker Roman Spur, who has transformed an inner city rental property into a productive food source and innovative space for living sustainably.
Roman is a sustainable design engineer who lives what he preaches.  Sharing his knowledge, experience, ideas and inventions, while talking with passion and empowerment, makes him an entertaining and educational speaker. In this workshop, you will learn practical and inexpensive ideas and tips for living.
Roman will share how his family spends less than $50 per week on groceries. We will show how to make yoghurt and cheese, fermented food, bake bread in a solar oven, make citrus fabric softener, tooth paste and much more.
Grow and make your own is the way to go and live wholesome, frugal and healthy life.

Bookings are NOT required for any of these workshops unless specified.

All attendees at our Saturday activities will be asked to make a gold coin donation to the Gardens as a contribution to the overall running of the Gardens.

Workshops commence at 9:30 am unless otherwise specified and duration is approximately 1½ to 2 hours.
