Event Description

Spring Fruit Trees

Barbara Beerling
Saturday, 29th August 2015 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

On August 29th, we are running a workshop especially focussed on planting, caring for and maximising fruit crops – just in time for spring! This workshop will be hosted by Brisbane-based Horticulturalist Barbara Beerling, who specialises in fruit trees, pruning, design and garden problems.

Our Spring Orchard Care workshop will focus on orchard design, organic pest and disease management, maintenance of fruit trees, soil and mulches. Barbara invites participants to bring photos and samples from their fruit trees to drive a troubleshooting Q and A session.

As part of our pilot year our current workshops are designed for the hobby gardener. These informal workshops usually run for a half day or a full day depending on the subject and cater for those who may be starting from scratch or seeking an introduction to a new gardening topic. Running once a month at the moments topics have included beekeeping and citrus care with soil improvement, spring fruit tree care and more still to come.

Grow your passion and knowledge by searching our workshops below.

Places are limited for all workshops so early registrations are recommended
