Event Description

Queensland Garden Expo is a ‘must see’ in 2015 for green thumbs and novice gardeners alike.

Held in the Sunshine Coast hinterland town of Nambour from 10th to 12th July, this three day expo is Queensland’s premier gardening event attracting 35,000 + visitors from all over Australia and New Zealand.

Some of Australia’s leading Gardening experts take part in three days of lectures, demonstrations and workshops.

Adult Entry: $18 

Aged Concession: $16

We are thrilled to announce that the Australian Railway Historical Society (Queensland Division) are bringing a steam train tour to the Queensland Garden Expo on Saturday 11th July.
These tours are extremely popular and give passengers a nostalgic tour as it steams through forests and fields. The tour includes return train travel, coach transfer from Nambour Station to the Garden Expo and entry ticket.
The train will depart Brisbane (Roma St) at 8.45am, bookings are necessary, be sure to secure your seat early!

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion.  It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
