Event Description

‘Propagation Skills – Grow New Plants from Old’ with Anne Gibson

Anne Gibson, The Micro Gardener [] will teach you easy propagation skills to grow your garden for free. Using a variety of techniques, discover how to grow new plants from a variety of plant materials, seeds and cuttings. Learn how to divide and layer. Pick up handy tips on which tools and materials you need, the importance of hygiene, getting the timing right, plant selection and suitable potting and seed raising mixes. Free plant material will be available for participants to take home.

Bookings are NOT required for any of these workshops unless specified.

Yandina Community Gardens is pleased to host a series of  workshops and DVD screenings each month.  This project has been assisted through the Sunshine Coast Council Grants Program – we acknowledge and thank Council for the support they have given to our workshop program in the past.  At all future workshops however, attendees will be asked to contribute a $5.00 donation.

Members will be asked for a gold coin donation and regular volunteers will not be asked for any contribution (as they already contribute so much!).  All donations go towards the ongoing costs of running the Gardens and help us to keep offering great workshops with great presenters.
