Event Description

Sunday, 15 April 2018,

6am - 2pm

This is the time open from - until

Croydon Road, Woodridge (opposite the Woodridge train station), why not get the train in and leave the car at home.

Last year a few of us went along and had a wonderful time. We had a very tasty breakfast and then it was off to be amazed by the amount of produce and so much of it we had never seen before, a foodies paradise, not to mention the new species of root vegetables etc that were able to be bought. So why not come and enjoy a day out with the international atmosphere and experience more than 200 nationalities and cultural experiences including multi-cultural costumes and shopping? The market provides international breakfast foods from Europe, Africa and Asia.

I thought it might be lovely if we could enjoy breakfast or lunch at one of the many venues, before or after browsing the many stalls and stocking up on sort after produce and growing materials.

Before, during or after shopping make a meal of it in the street food alley that looks and smells like it has been beamed up from a village in South East Asia. Here you’ll find hawkers peddling Thai, Cambodian and Vietnamese street food, with generous plates of food $7 or less.

Not only is this the best value food around, it is also the most authentic in a think-you-died- and-went-to-Asia kind of way.

What time are you planning on meeting Dianne?

Comment by Dianne Caswell on April 7, 2018 at 20:05

Only 1 week away until we meet and have breakfast at the Global Food Village in Logan. Last year when we attended we indulged in the many foods on offer. The Fruit and Vegetables was of exceptional quality, as well as plants for sale.

Please join Graham and I on this day, it will be nice to see our BLF friends. It will be good for me as it will be my first social outing since my surgery. Please click on Accept if you are coming along.

We will have to see if anyone out your way might like to catch the train or go in by car, it truly is a fantastic market.

It looks and sounds fantastic. If only I could get there ...
