Local Farms + Community , Joel Salatin Tour 2015

Join Joel Salatin for a one-day jam packed masterclass exploring the secrets of Polyface Farm systems, and how to create a vibrant, diverse, profitable and successful farming enterprise. This day will be chocker block with practical information and the nuts and bolts of how to get started and establish on-farm enterprises that are both regenerative and profitable.

Internationally respected for his farm's innovative and integrated diverse animal systems Joel comes ready to present and explain in detail how to replicate Polyface Farm's most successful livestock systems and answer your questions in Q & A style.

Joel's book 'You Can Farm' has been an inspiring catalyst for many farmers and farming entrepreneurs in Australia looking for new ways to farm that regenerate the soil, feed the community and grow a prosperous farming and localised food future.

This day is the next best thing to spending time at Joel's farm in Virginia and seeing first hand his live ballet in the pasture. In his typically entertaining and passionate style this masterclass will leave you eager, prepared and ultimately empowered with the practical know how to take your farming enterprise to the next level.

**Southern folks! Milkwood are doing events with Joel in Sydney & Melbourne the week prior, so go check those out if they’re closer to you.

About Joel Salatin:

Joel is arguably the world’s most famous family farmer with Time magazine crediting him as being the ‘World’s Best Farmer’. He is a third generation farmer whose multigenerational family enterprise owns and operates Polyface Farm, in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley. Their organic grass fed farm, once eroded and worn out, is now perhaps America’s premier non-industrial food production oasis, direct sale marketing and selling pastured beef, pork, poultry and rabbits to more than 4,000 families, 50 restaurants, and 10 retail outlets generating some $10,000 per acre income per year. Joel is also the author of 9 books including the best seller Folks, this Aint Normal. Joel also writes extensively in magazines such as Stockman Grass Farmer, Acres USA, and American Agriculture. Polyface farm features prominently in Michael Pollan's New York Times bestseller Omnivore's Dilemma and the award-winning documentary, Food Inc.

Come and be a part of the important next step in developing our farming economy.
