the monster  WOOD EXPO RAFFLE

The Wood Expo promotes sustainable use of our beautiful native timbers through the work of local and regional wood artisans. We invite you to join us for two days of clean country family fun at the beautiful Maleny Showgrounds.

Meet and talk to the craftsmen and women who’ve created the amazing array of lovingly crafted timber products. There is work by furniture-makers and toy-makers, musical instrument-makers and box-makers, whittlers, carvers and everything in-between. There’s something to suit every taste and budget.

Glimpse the skills of the timber cutters who ‘opened up’ the region, and catch up with the very best in both hand-crafted traditional and high tech tools.

Smell the distinctive spicy aroma of newly milled timber and watch live demos of chainsaws, woodworking, trade tools and more.

There are native plants and local Maleny produce to purchase, natural resource management displays and much more.

With WoodShed WorkshopsWoodwork for Women  and a creative space for kids to taste the delights of woodworking – it’s hands-on wood for the whole family.

Pull up a hay bale, enjoy great food and fabulous local music and have a great day!

All wood artisans and exhibitors are required to work in sustainably harvested native timbers, weed or recycled timbers.  See our Sustainable Timber Policy here.

Very well attended with a wide variety of stalls. We went a few years ago now and were lucky enough to book into a tour of enviro. homes in the area. Great day, entertaining and informative. That's where we heard about Bokashi.

Go if you can!
