Saturday 14th November

9am – 4pm: Rustic “bread” Baskets Weaving Circle  – with Weva Deva

This beautiful rustic bread basket will bring back that “country” warmth to any home and heart. In this workshop you will learn how to weave an assortment of VINES and GRASSES into a large woven basket useful for holding bread, fruits, veg etc . We will explore the characteristics, how to grow, harvest and prepare the fibre plants available to us in our local area that are useful for basket weaving.

Using the prepared fibres that will be supplied, come and enjoy the art of weaving in a creative and supportive setting and just imagine your handmade basket overflowing with homemade bread.YUM..

Cost: $85 / $65 (Healthcare Card holder) plus additional materials cost payable on the day: $10pp

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
