Jimboomba Community Garden Grand Opening  

Costa is going to be there!!

Come and have a look at Jimboombas new community garden.  10am to 4pm Sunday 25 May Click on this Flier or their Facebook page for more information.

Join the Logan food Gardener's team to compete in the lasagne bed (no dig garden) building contest.  Put a comment below if you would like to join us.

10am –  Welcome Trevina, Costa, Kevin

 10.05am – MC Runs through events for the day.         

10.30am – Costa speaks on the ‘Importance of Community Gardens’ and ‘How to Build community’ through networks of gardens.                                     

10.45am – Cutting of the giant Pizza scroll 

Race to build a no dig bed” – Costa to compare, introduce teams, explain rules, Garden members to judge.

11.00am – “Race to build a no dig bed”                         

11.45am -  Costa to announce winner (best on the day) 

12.00  Garden tours                            

12.00 – Yoga Display:  Relax and Shine                           

12 – 2pm  – Pizza’s for sale from cobb 

1pm – Costa’s worm farm workshop: 

2.00pm – Costa to talk 

3.00pm – Open time for discussion, signing up for memberships, meet the press

I hope to attend, even for a hour or so.....but its my husband's birthday. lol i wonder if i can take him there for his birthday; i dont think he would be impressed.

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
