Event Description

CANCELLED DUE TO ILL HEALTH - check Events for new GV 28th June.

Gayle D has been working with her daughter Elizabeth on a creating a new garden for Elizabeth and her family. Always interesting to see a garden evolving!

From Gayle:

It’s a suburban garden - slight slope but fairly flat where you walk.
The aim is to have plenty of edibles, play areas for 2 small children (4 & 2), not too much work for their parents.
Parking on street.

Children welcome but must be supervised by parents at all times.

Please bring a small plate of food or drink to share and any plants, produce or seed that you want to share, swap or sell.

RSVP required for the address to be sent closer to the date to the email address you nominated when you joined.

Late attendees welcome. Message Lissa or phone on the day for the address.

It's easy.

Check HERE at the Garden Visit Group (or see menu top of the page), read the blurb and contact Lissa with the required information.

One of the members has offered their garden for the GV. We're just negotiating a date.

If we can stick to a GV at someones house at the regular time that would be best all round.

Social outings are something else and can be organised as a stand alone outing. Pop your venue ideas up in the Purely Social group to gauge response.

Sounds sensible.

If it's like other markets, getting there first thing would ensure the best produce. But from a social point of view, 6am morning tea doesn't have much going for it ;-)

I'd love to go but perhaps at a more sociable hour view to socialising rather than serious buying.

Have you been to the Village Markets, Kelvin Grove, on Every Saturday 6am-1pm; Blamey Street, Kelvin Grove.

Blog from internet - 10 Best Farmers Markets

Kelvin Grove Markets are the only market we can think of that blocks traffic to an entire street every weekend. Home to a little bit of everything, Kelvin Grove guarantees fresh fruit and veg, herbs, tea, fresh baked goods, gourmet cheeses, meat, eggs, local honey, as well as flowers, bric-a-brac and fast food from around the world. Tip: join the line for Michael’s Steamed Dumplings.

Is it still going?

Absolutely if people are agreeable. Can you think of a venue?

Lissa, If no one want to offer for June, could we perhaps meet somewhere for Morning Tea or Lunch.

I have sent out a message to attendee advising this visit has been cancelled due to ill health. Our best wishes to Gayle and family for a speedy recovery.

Is anyone else able to put their hand up for a visit this month? Two tables for food and swap and some tea and coffee.
