Event Description

POSTPONED until later in the year a date to be fixed

The address will be sent closer the date. The address is always sent to your email you signed up with, if it is different you will need to change it in your profile

Our garden is an old fashion one, we have been living in our house for 41 almost 42 years. We grow a variety of Figs, Citrus, Guavas, Stone Fruits and Various Others. We have a Kitchen Herb Garden (which we couldn't do without). Our Vegetable garden is very small where we do try to grow the staples that we consume most of. Graham calls our garden Natures Smorgasbord as the birds usually get the fruits before we have time to harvest.

Our garden suffered greatly after the last drought conditions, loosing many of our cherished Citrus Trees, Ground Covers, Ornamentals, Ferns, and Others. Up until a month ago it was like a barren oasis here but the much needed rain has helped a lot.

We have tidied up the best we can, so please excuse the empty pots (still not re-potted into). The pathway with the intruding roots has still not been fixed (is being done this Winter), the very, very tall tree has been cut down (giving ourselves and Roger some much needed mulch).

All said please come along to enjoy the company of our members for a lovely morning tea. For those who are interested some of us are going on to have lunch at the K & K Cafe' in Sinnamon Park. Please let me know if you would like to join us for lunch and how many of you coming along.

Children welcome but must be supervised by parents at all times.

Please bring a small plate of Food or Drink to share, and any plants, produce or seed that you would like to share, swap or sell.

It is always a good idea to bring along a chair as we do sometimes have more visitors than chairs available at GV gardens.

RSVP required so that the address can be sent to you closer to the date. The email address you nominated when you joined will be used. Please update this if it has changed.

Late attendees welcome. Message Dianne or phone 0407691485 on the day for the address.

Understandable, thanks Dianne and Graham. Wishing everyone safe and happy gardening with high morale! xx

Regrettably we are having to postpone our Garden Visit until later on in the year when we hope things are finally under control from the Covid19 Virus. I myself have a suspect immune system that I can't afford to take the chance with, having to be very careful where I go and what I do. At this stage it also looks like my Cheesemaking tour to France in May is most probably off as well.

As a result of our GV cancellation it looks like Graham & I are going to have ourselves some Cheese & Wine Tasting Party here.

Keep Safe & Well.
