SUNDAY 27th June 11.00am TO 1.00pm
This will be a "GARDEN VISIT & WORKING BEE"
MESSAGE From: Sid
Come for a Garden Visit to Sid's newly acquired dream property. It's a Sunday so make sure you take in the Caboolture Markets (https://caboolturecountrymarkets.com.au/) en route to stock up on inexpensive seedlings (tip stolen from Dave, thanks Dave!).
Sid's new home is a beautiful block in Wamuran that was previously a goat milking farm. It's just over five acres of almost completely useable land with existing gardens set up.
Please bring an umbrella, hat or similar shade as there is a fair bit to see. There is on property and across the road parking. Please reserve the on property parking for those who would benefit from the shorter walking distance.
Our main focus will be on exploring for those who have not visited before, and a small working bee to lay out a spiral design in the front for a new garden. The formal gardens are a short series of steps from the main house but can also be reached via a slope through the fruit trees if anyone needs that. There are many roses planted in the formal gardens and it is unlikely I will want to keep them all so if you like the look of any, or wish to take cuttings from larger plants please feel free to ask. There are also three established Fig trees in the formal garden, so if anyone wants to take a look with the aim of digging them out and taking one or two just let me know - three is more than I need!
If it could be 11am - 1pm that would be ideal, but we will likely go over if the working bee is fun.
It might be a good idea, if you are attending the Working Bee side of things to not only take along Morning Tea but also a Luncheon Plate that can be shared with the group.
The address will be sent closer the date. The address is always sent to your email you signed up with, if it is different you will need to change it in your profile
Children welcome but must be supervised by parents at all times.
Please bring a small plate of Food or Drink to share, and any plants, produce or seed that you would like to share, swap or sell.
It is always a good idea to bring along a chair as we do sometimes have more visitors than chairs available at GV gardens.
RSVP required so that the address can be sent to you closer to the date. The email address you nominated when you joined will be used. Please update this if it has changed.
Late attendees welcome. Message Dianne or phone 0407691485 on the day for the address.
