Here is a little Info that GayleD is sharing about her Wonderful Garden:-
This is an evolving garden that is a mix of native areas for habitat; food growing; and sitting spots. Flowers all year round for the native bees. Tank is full after all this rain.
I’ve been doing an online course on sustainability and backyard diversity which has led to some changes in the garden to increase habitat etc.
I’ve had yet another rethink of that western side wind tunnel to mitigate the summer sun. After a few grass-free years I now have a few patches and will have to get the tiny lawnmower out of storage before the 23rd.
Food growing at the moment – plenty of lemons; limes; peas and tomatoes coming on; various herbs; salad leaves etc. Avocado tree can’t make up its mind whether it’s going to live or die. Some rather large loofahs.
Verge garden is doing well and the growth of the street tree compared to the one next door shows how important verge gardens can be street trees and cooling the cities.
I will have some potted baby mango trees to give away. Also new guinea bean seeds.
Children welcome but must be supervised by parents at all times.
Please bring a small plate of Food or Drink to share, and any plants, produce or seed that you would like to share, swap or sell.
It is always a good idea to bring along a chair as we do sometimes have more visitors than chairs available at GV gardens.
RSVP required so that the address can be sent to you closer to the date. The address will be sent closer the date. The address is always sent to your email you signed up with, if it is different you will need to change it in your profile.
