Event Description

Learn the benefits of and how to make fermented foods. In our stressful and chemical ridden world, we’ve become out of touch with how to keep our bodies healthy naturally. Our guts are said to be like a second brain, responsible for functions beyond just digesting foods. The microbiota contained in our gut needs to be cared for in order to maintain its health. Fortunately, we can assist our gut health with cost efficient DIY foods that are delicious as well!

Learn how to easily make probiotic rich foods such as sauerkraut and tempeh, and beverages like water kefir and kombucha. As well as how to enhance your gut health by incorporating these foods into your diet.

Emma is a past PDC student of NSCF and a current naturopathy student who has a keen interest on anything to do with plants, animals and sustainable living. She believes in the importance of natural foods and clean living for optimum health. As a past primary school teacher, she loves to share her knowledge and continue to learn how to live the most sustainable and healthy life possible.
