Event Description

Did you know disposable plastic is harming our health, killing marine life and damaging our environment? Have you ever thought about where that plastic bottle, plastic plate, straw, cup, cutlery ends up? Where is "away" really?

Many people are wising up to the catastrophic impacts of single use disposable plastic and choosing to live their lives without it. You can do it too - it's not even that hard!

This workshop will give you tips, ideas and practical advice to make your plastic-free life a reality!

We're very lucky to have environmental advocate and plastic-free devotee Emma Brindal from Wiseearth Education as our special guest speaker. Emma is committed to minimising waste, and for the last two years has taken the 'Plastic Free July' challenge to eliminate all single use plastic from her life.

The workshop will include a demonstration on making your own almond milk (without using anything plastic!), and you'll get to taste a delicious almond milk smoothie. You'll also take away recipes for making your own coconut milk, toothpaste and more - all chemical and plastic free!

Come along and be inspired to become part of the solution to the plastic problem, create a better legacy for your children and improve your family's health at the same time. You'll also get to connect with like-minded people and enjoy some delicious healthy snacks (raw, gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free and plastic-free of course!).

Can't wait to see you there!
