I will still go to Roma Street tomorrow, if it rains then I will be at the Cafe :)  Otherwise I will be in the main picnic area, near the waterfall and bamboo.

There's ample parking at one end of the park, but it's full when there's events on. There doesn't appears to be any events on their calendar.. but school holidays does start this weekend, so it's hard to say....

With this weather we need to find an alternative venue (thanks for the reminder Elaine) - ideas anyone?

I'll put my thinking cap on, we will need to make a decision by Saturday night and I will message everyone who has RSVP'd and put a post about it in the BSS Group and my status.

I'll try and get there early and by then I will have a spot picked out and given directions, but if there is a problem with the first spot one of the regulars can wait for the Elaines at the canteen.

We don't have a mobile either so if Donna or someone else can fix on a spot we'll be there at the starting time - our train takes an hour and it leaves on the hour so we'd be there at 10 but not before. Ten is starting to become peak time ... we're not really familiar with the area so at least for us, some specific directions from the canteen would be very helpful. We get to the canteen direct from the railway station.

there are a few BBQs around the park, just have to find them. there is two or three, around by the kids play ground....the play ground is by the kids gardens, the ones where they hold, activities for the kids on the holidays)
Everyone, who goes early, go looking for a free BBQ and then everyone else have mobiles ready for spot to meet.....if we all wait for each other to arrive and then look for BBQ, they all might be gone by then?

There are seats around the BBQ areas ~ I don't know how early do people start turning up .. i.e. what time all BBQ gets taken...
We'll be driving if no other unplanned event comes up on this date, so please let me know if we need to bring extra things like stools, cups, plates, ice etc..
