Under the Open Garden scheme, 3 gardens will be open. $15 ticket covers all three.
"Explore three inspirational gardens in picturesque Kin Kin. Artist Steve Weis has incorporated sound sculptures and other art works throughout his garden of native trees, bromeliads, orchids and ferns.
The Garden of Eatin' is, as the name suggests, filled with an amazing array of vegetables, herbs, fruit trees - and even edible weeds!
And at Kin Kin State School, learn all about growing your own food organically: raised vegetable beds are filled with herbs and unusual subtropical species, there's a bush tucker garden and you can enjoy food from the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden"
All three gardens will be offering plants for sale and two (not the State School) also allow you to bring your dog along for the walk. See the individual gardens for other facilities on offer: http://www.opengarden.org.au/regions/qld_calendar_april.html
Too far ahead, so I'm not sure which day I will be going.
