Presented by Annette McFarlane. Imagine a beautiful garden that never needs weeding, is suitable for the smallest patio or balcony and attracts local birds, beneficial insects and frogs. This workshop will show you how to create a decorative water garden of edible and ornamental plants. Watch and learn as a water garden is created and take home plant materials and a fact sheet that will enable you to recreate your own water garden at home.

THIS WAS A GOOD WORKSHOP, me and my son, had a wonderful morning of learning how to make a water garden, where to plant, what to plant, how it's maintained {well if you do it correctly you wont need to maintain it} what fish to use, what fish not to use, solar powered bubbler's, lots of ideas, and how to get those good guys into the yard, beneficial gardening... all in all, good morning! son cant wait until he can get started and get his most favourite animal visiting us! THE HUMBLE GREEN FROG! ... i should of taken the camera with me! and done a blog post. :-(

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion.  It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
