Event Description

WEDNESDAY November 7th 10.00am TO 12.00pm

Meet at Entrance at 9.30am.

Address - 208 First Ave, Bongaree QLD 4507.

Our next 2 Events will take the form of a trip to the Bribie Island Butterfly House.

These trips will be held during the same week on Wednesday 7th November and Sunday 11th November. Please click on the correct day when you are RSVPing.

We would like to meet at the entrance at 9.30am as it does become quite crowded especially on the Sunday.

Thank-you Christa, Lissa, Elaine, Dave for your input.

From Dave -

Mosaic Club, gathers here at home each week, did the mosaic on the butterfly house door.

If you go to Bribie and Op shop -- which you gotta do -- the first stop has to be Busy Fingers. Helen is currently working on mosaic projects with kids at the award winning kindergarten next door. The staff came over here to do mosaic workshops.

There is a Community Nursery in the same bock as the B. House -- next door. It closes at 11 am and used to be absolutely great for local flora, but they have unfortunately changed their focus.

From Lissa -

Many places to eat on Bribie and on Sunday it will be busy there's no getting away from that. In fact everywhere on Bribie on a Sunday will be busy. It's a tourist resort.

I would suggest Sylvan Beach Seafood. Lovely outlook over the passage and good food at a reasonable price and it's a little out of the tourist way.

Fish 'n' chips and house made burgers, plus salads, in an easygoing venue overlooking the water.
11, Marine Parade, Bellara, Bribie Island QLD 4507
Opens 10AM 3408 8155
From Christa - We recently went to surfside hotel for lunch with a respite group and had a mid week meal which was a special price for seniors
From Elaine -  The pub at Sandstone Point is a top eatery but expect it would be very crowded on Sundays. The pub on the passage side is a poor place to eat (first-hand experience quite recently) but have not been to the pub at Woorim.

I've made a booking for Sylvan Beach Seafood for 5/6 people for 11.30am. I'm sure if more come on the day they can be accomodated.

Hi Lissa, I am pretty sure most people want to have Fish and Chips or the like. If you know a good place to go, that would be great if you could book a table. See you then.

Do you want me to make a booking somewhere for lunch?

Comment by Elaine de Saxe on October 22, 2018 at 20:28

We can live with that especially as it's volunteer-run.

All profits go to charity Elaine.

Wow - $12, no concession for pensioners. It had better be good!

Two of us plus we'd love to have lunch at Sylvan Beach Seafood.
