The gathering will be held on Saturday, 17th October 2009 at Rocks Riverside Park, the home of Rocks Community Farm (an allotment community garden established in June 2007) located at Counihan Rd, Seventeen Mile Rocks. (From the car park, walk 400m to the Meeting Room and Crusher Pavilion at downstream end of park, below the bushland escarpment).
The purpose of this meeting is to gather together a team of people from a few different gardens to review community garden activity since QCG10 at Westfalen mid last year and look at what we might do together over the coming year.
We suggest the agenda for this gathering be:
10:30am Cuppa Tea and How Ya Goin?
An opportunity to share what's happening at your community garden or city farm, or other events of interest to our network.
11:30am Our Network?
What you would like to gain from the network? What sorts of gatherings? What issues or activities can we cooperate on? What can we achieve together (ie. a clear, achievable plan) next year?
1:00pm Lunch
Bring along a plate to share and then go for a stroll around Rocks Community Farm
2:00pm Follow-up session and further presentations.
3:00pm Close
Any other ideas, and offers to present, are welcomed. Please notify via your RSVP so we can timetable accordingly.
