Joel Salatin is an ecological farmer from PolyFaceFarms, Shenandoah Valley, Virginia, U.S.A. who appeared as the organic farmer in the documentary Food Inc.
Joel came to Australia for a series of workshops & presentations in 2010, with the support of ReGenAg & FoodConnect presented Joel's Brisbane appearance at Northey Street City Farm.
This interview with ecological actor Paul Bishop, is part of a series of video's with Joel, (including his presentation) and forms part of Arts Evolution/WeUmedia's 'Extraordinary Ambassadors' Project: communicating ideas about the works of leaders in the area of social, economic, environmental & cultural change toward Sustainable Human Futures in our global, national, regional & local communities.

GrowVetiver

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion.  It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
