Joel Salatin is an Ecological Farmer, Founder of Polypace Farms and organic food hero in the 2009 feature film/documentary 'Food Inc'.
In 2010, Joel came to Australia for a series of presentations including this one at Northey Street City Farm, Brisbane.
Paul Bishop filmed this as part of his visit.

Thank you Paul for making and sharing these videos with us on BLF. Joel Salatin is particularly of interest to me, just reading about his achievements and his creative thinking is astonishing. I see the Master Classes he's running and wish I could attend but it would only be for my general interest since I'm not growing food on any scale. I hope that some BLFers do attend one/some of his classes and can report to us. Even though there is horrifying events happening in the food world - GMOs are just one such - there is a balancing effect of people like Joel and Cat who get out there and tell the interested layperson what is going on and how to fix it. I've still got the 'Food Inc' DVD unopened I've not been game to see it. I've heard that a lot of good things have come from that, that some factory farmers have changed their ways.
