"He also has visible twining Madeira in his garden area in other photos. It's definitely not sorted out, nor would many be able to ever say "I sorted that Madeira infestation out". If they could, my hat goes off to them. They should…"

"Very nice, Paul. How do you think the Vetiver benefited there? The reduction in wind? Maybe the greater infiltration of water? Mycorrhizal associations? Pest trap? If that's 1 year old you didn't cut it? Excellent growth. Did you get a…"

"Cres, I wasn't referring to you going to Veticon, I was answering the statement that Dave made regarding a reliable supplier for SEQ. They do exist. As I've told Dave before, I only sell small amounts while the nursery grows in size with…"

"And, to further why I only sell limited numbers is that I didn't want to undercut the established industry as they have done most of the work and a lot of the science to support what we know about Vetiver. I felt it was the ethical thing to do…"

"That is Madeira in that gutter. You have a ethical requirement to sort that out."

"Because Cres contacted me I thought I would jump in here to expand on Dave's learned posts. I'm glad Dave is now trying to push the price down as the industry, illustrated by his list, is ridiculously high. You've come a long way,…"

"There are some notes about that in the literature and there may be some in Roger's document too. Basically, like a clearcut or clearfell, you take the succession back to the 'placenta' stage by removing the secondary stage and…"

"Nice write-up, Dave. I guess you liked it... Ernst is also scientifically-published, most in Portuguese, so there is further reading at a deeper level than articles and video can do. There is a conference with him on Youtube that is quite good,…"

Good Afternoon Evan, Welcome to Brisbane Local Foods (BLF).

Here at the top of the page, you will find many GROUPS to join. One of these is the GARDEN VISITS, 2018 GARDEN VISITS CALENDAR. I am sure you would enjoy visiting our member’s gardens. We have members who grow many different kinds of Gardens, Permaculture, Aquaculture, Wicking Beds, Traditional and many more. The GV's are usually held once a month. At the GV's we share cuttings, plants, produce, seeds, knowledge as well as a good chat and a lovely Homemade Morning Teas.

We have many subjects of interest, if you have any questions I am sure we would have a member or site available to answer that question. If you feel you are particularly adept in a field you may like to add a new Group to our List or perhaps do a talk or demonstration at one of our GV. If a yes for the GV you might like to friend me and we can see what we can do. We are always looking for new ideas.
