Hi Heather,
Remember me, Jamie's daughter? I googled you and this site came up... so I just wanted to say gidday and sorry i lost touch. Hope all is well? I'd love to hear from you, not sure how i can give you my email address without it showing up on this public site for all to see, any ideas? Take care Sarah
Hi Tim,
Glad you were there for flood assistance (& the 3 seconds of fame!). Please say a big hello to everyone for me, I'll have to try and call in again to say hello myself. My garden is starting its path to perma heaven (I live in hope) my pigeon peas, mulberry, bush lemon, feijoa & bush cherry are thriving, I have heaps of herbs in and getting ready to start seedlings for vegies etc, my pecan is going in this weekend. I have been maintaining a process of genocide on the marauding nutgrass for some months and hoping I've had medium to good success so far, but the end is not in sight just yet! Who said it would be easy. Keep up the good work, are you finding the APT3 worth the time and effort? I've been keen to do it myself at some stage, Cheers Heather
I did help clean up a little after the flood - mud and debris. I was on ABC news for a few seconds! They lost some computers, power tools, maybe office paper work etc. but the gardens have bounced back pretty nicely.
That's great about your building design, I wish you all the best. I still have my land in South Australia but not certain what the future holds regarding building. I've got enough to hold my attention with APT3 and full time work right now. Even thinking about designing a permaculture board game with another APT student!
Bec is doing APT with me, and I keep in contact with Brian. Emma is still at the farm.
Hi Heather! Wondering what courses you have done at Northey St. I did a PDC last year and currently doing the APT3. Also did a beekeeping workshop earlier this year. Such a great place, hey?
my broccoli is getting hassled badly now too. i should have left the brassicas out of the beds over summer - no rest. might have to get some dipel to kill the caterpillars.
