Hi Chris, finally back from my holiday. I probably won't be able to find time to get out your way until after Christmas - maybe between Christmas and New Year? ... are you going away?
Hi Cris,
Sorry you missed it. I make those kinds of mistakes all the time. If you’re ever in the area please let me know or drop in. I'd love to get your advice on a few things.
I've put my slow rowing small vegetables down to clay soil. It may take some time and resources to get it to a stage where it is producing wonderful vegetables like yours. I’ve been looking at your photos and feeling very jealous. All the best and hope to see you soon,
Cass
G'day Chris, I'm glad you like it. Yes I agree that bamboo is simply striking. Some argue that in Chinese paintings, bamboo is one of the most difficult plants to draw. To me, bamboo represents inner strengths yet it's elegant by appearance...
Thank you for your comment Christopher! I've noticed you have plenty of blogs yourself. I look forward to reading them for my own inspiration. Happy gardening :)
Cheers Chris. Thanks for the welcome. Enjoying checkout all the great pics of people's gardens etc and looking forward to learning loads along the way...

Hi Chris, you mentioned somewhere that coriander is prone to bolting - I recently read that it needs to be kept moist or it bolts so I am trying to water mine regularly and see if it works. I will also try digging in some water granules (when I find them lol) around the roots to help this.
THANK YOU SO MUCH. thanks lots and lots for the stakes Chris.
They will come in very handy and saved a few $$, cant thank you enough.
Blessing from ness.
(hope i have something to share in return, for next garden visit.)
Hi chris, wondering if you have any spare stakes, If any left.......All good, if all taken. (ill pop back to the recycle dump)
Chat to you on sunday, looking forward to meeting some green thumbs.
Thanks, nessy. xx
i think pigeons had been nesting in it. I think the mites prefer damp straw to dry - they can breed up in it better it seems . i think i saw this confirmed online somewhere when i was investigating them - like an end of season birds nest
Thanks Christopher, maybe will get you to point out a 'bud' for me at the visit. Will leave me more to spend on other stuff that you can't buy normally.
Hi Christopher
From memory you had ginger growing at your meeting... did you plant tubers from the supermarket/ greengrocer?
Not sure whether they are like potatoes and you are supposed to buy 'seed' ones or not...
