Growing local

Finally a chance to get out in the garden ( sunday morning ) only to find quite a few problems as a result of the un-seasonable rain and warm temperatures . The last of my broccoli went from large thight heads to open almost flowering in 4 days, the mizuna completley collapeed , snow peas the same ,  i really have not had a chance to pick them  and i have found that like a lot of things if you dont they stop flowering and go of . there are some thing coming on well , the red cabbage , little yellow cherry tomatoes, and most of the cauliflower , it was planted a bit latter than the broccoli , and all the weeds . the next big job is moving my asparagus as it has now died back ( almost) . I think i will leave it for a day or two and read a book ( A GAME OF THRONES ) .

Just don't let the soil dry out again or it will be more difficult digging up the aspargus :)

I've always got books on the go - my small room has a large pile of magazines for contemplative reading. I'm working at buying an eReader so I can have them all at my fingertips without having to get to the library and return books on time.
