Growing local

I loved the one garden visit I made last year, meeting gardening enthusiasts and learning from them. However Sunday is not a suitable day for me so I wonder if there is a possibility of having some gv on Saturdays instead?

Memories from that gv live on with the leeks, water cress and Madagascar beans growing happily in my garden. Thanks to those who shared them .

Also are there people who are willing to give lifts to those happy to share costs?

Hi Sophie ...... I have been thinking of the gv at your place as I go to church at cooparoo. If I go I shall be quite late and hope you don't mind.
My Madagascar beans have been harvested and happily eaten, and I have given some seeds to an Iranian family who are thrilled that their plant has produced its first flowers..... Gifts that continue to give!

Hi Anne, good to hear from you, glad you and the plants are going well! My Garden visit (June) will be not too far from you (10-15 mins drive) - and we are right next to the train line if that helps - but yes on a Sunday, sorry!

Hi Ann, All of our GV Hosts choose their own days and dates for their GV's, but we have found that Sunday is the popular choice. We have also found that Saturday is not generally chosen as this is the day some members take their children to different activities or have other plans for Saturday mornings.

We do however from time to time have Special Events on Saturdays.

If you would like to Host a GV at anytime in your garden, please message me and we can put you into our calendar on a day and date of your choosing.

Your profile is set to private Anne so I cannot check what suburb you are in.

The day of the GV is set by the host. Most of our GVs up to a year or so ago were on Saturdays. With the extra traffic I have found Sundays the more suitable day and that's the day I have mine on. We had a Saturday one at Turners on the south side only a month or so ago.
