What a difference a few months of good weather and reasonable temperatures can make to your garden. Everything is green and alive! Those who ventured out to outback Park Ridge for a garden visit, will no doubt remember the mid 30's temps and overpowering humidity that summer often brings to these parts.
As you can see it is not all doom and gloom in my garden. Here I grew these Kipflers in the Aldi bought garden rubbish bag. The seed potatoes used were sitting around in the house all shrivelled up for all summer and then they began to shoot. So I planted them out in early Spring, and kept them watered. They have given us these from two tiny little tubers. I must try this again next year on a bigger scale.
I have two more of these bags planted out with Sebego seed potatoes. These plantings have been staggered, some planted in June and some in July, all are very healthy looking.
Amish Paste tomatoes a very flavoursome type. these have survived over summer and now can grow without fruit fly attacking them. Growing in my 4th Aldi bag.
Growing lettuce, carrots, and chillies in PVC tubes
3 Types of pumpkin still on the vine, Qld Blue, Turks Turban, and Jap
Snow Peas growing in a bath and Asian Broccolli growing in bags or plastic containers.
Grow bed with Kale, passionfruit, Asian and normal Broccoli, with flat leaved parsley.
So there is a whole lot of difference in what I can grow when conditions are more favourable. I know many of you will also be getting similar results at this time of year. What a pity that we don't get a much longer window of opportunity.

looking lush!!
Really looks good - your potato harvest looks great compared to mine - 1/2 a garden bed given over to it and only small crappy spuds (not even a kilo) returned.
The garden is looking great so green, fresh and healthy Roger. So pleased the rain found it's way to your place. I envoy your pumpkins and Leeks.
Things are looking really good at yours mate. Well done cobber.
Looking great, Roger! What do you do with all that Parsley? Do you juice it ... Parsley and Asparagus grow very well together.
