Growing local

It's not often that I have a majority of home-grown veges to add to a meal. This time the eggs are from Cathie's hens as is the sourdough bread. Making it something to crow about ;-)

The ingredients - L to R: eggs as mentioned with Sugar Snap Peas in the lid, Collard leaf (only the one!),  Capsicum self-sown and so sweet, various Lettuce leaves, perennial Leek.

Cooking gently in a mix of oil and butter:

Seriously good!

There's just never enough to have a lot of home-grown each day although we manage to have something from the garden most times. With extra Capsicum plants and the Sugar Snap Peas coming along, we should be noshing on more home stuff for a while yet.

Yay... My chookies would be chuffed to have their eggs star in your photos! I agree it's a happy day when you get to eat almost all home produced food.
