Growing local

7 weeks in Belgium and France..... a journey of a lifetime!

In December 2013, a good friend and champion baker, Brett Noy of Uncle Bob's Bakery, posed a question to me that was out of the blue, and the opportunity of a lifetime....

"Would you consider accompanying me to Europe to assist me with my preparations for the World Bakery Cup?"

My first instinct was to think of my darling wife - my soulmate and the one with whom I do everything - inseparable....

I said " it would be wholly up to my wife as to whether is is something to which I could commit."

And so a journey, one with a very short timeline, began.

I will post more once I get on the plane!!!!
