Weather has finally cooled down and a bit of a break at work means I give the garden my almost full attention
Bed 1 got a facelift in time for summer, with frame and shade. Now planted with rescued cherry toms from facebook share page in the Gap, spring onions, parsley. Bed 2 has more advanced volunteer cherry toms. I planted celery, which is still alive but I don't argue with volunteer tomatoes.
Bed 4 is going strong with capsicum and salvias, full of native bees too. Coffee tree will need a trim soon. Raspberries are non existent, will need TLC.
Lost a few banana trees to Debbie and gave some shoots away. Quite pleasantly surprised to find some many bunches. Happily, one remains. Compost moved, so we'll see if the bananas keeps groing strong without the open bottom compost nearby.
We got a new chicken moveable fence as I was getting quite tired of loosing all my crops and picking up poo from everywhere. I am happy to report that chicken have adapted to living with the young pullets and things are growing back everywhere.
I was quite concerned when the girls started eating the peace lilies. The plants are however now growing back slowly but surely.
And finally the root seedlings and side wicking beds planted mainly with greens look promising.
