Mid Autumn in the garden.

Hi everyone,

How are everyone's gardens going?  Mine, still not that productive.  We are going ok in the fruit department.  Passionfruit,1-2 small pawpaws ripening up per week, the last 3 melons from the garden and the odd small handful of raspberries from my very poor looking raspberry vines.  I also harvested the ONLY fruit that set off my citrus grove trees that I planted last year.  Yes, I know, to be fair to them, they are just babies.  It was the rio red grapefruit.  I…

April 2016 garden.

Hi guys,

Well I just finished my major holiday project - built the garden shed.  I was going to also build a rock pathway but as it took 3 days of torture AND I managed to put a drill bit through my thumb, I decided not to be too ambitious.  The shed was the $169 job from Aldi's.  If you bought one and haven't put it up yet, word to the wise:  When they refer to the "short side" it means the side with all the holes drilled into it (short height wise, not length wise).  The swearing…
