Growing fruit trees

Having just attended a very busy two days of the Qld Garden Expo in Nambour, I should share some of the things I learnt from talks attended there, before they disappear from the memory. Peter Young of Birdwood Nurseries related that most commercial growers of fruit trees are now restricting the height of their trees to around 3 metres. GrowVetiver

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion.  It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
